about
I wrote Undergrowth to help myself feel at peace while being in a place of uncertainty in life. Like sitting on the forest floor and looking up to find comfort in the songs of the birds, instead of fear in the shadows amongst the trees.
lyrics
Look up
There’s light through the trees
Dusk falls, soft beams
The earth begins to breathe
Walking faster waiting for the dark to grab me
I let go of my destiny
The earth begins to be
I could sit in the haze and feel diminished
Sit in the rays in which I’m living
I could sit in the haze and feel diminished
Sit in the rays in which I’m living
Heart center, energy
Sits over my skin like a coat, I
Look up to the top of the trees
The birds like to sit there watch over their dominion
But here, in the undergrowth
I wonder how I could get permission
Look up, look up
To see what you’ve been missing
I could sit in the haze and feel diminished
Sit in the rays in which I’m living
I could sit in the haze and feel diminished
Sit in the rays in which I’m living
I could sit in the rays in which I’m living
Dance to the pace of my own rhythm
I could sit in the rays in which I’m living
The suns on my face, the suns on my face
I could sit in the rays in which I’m living
Dance to the pace of my own rhythm
I could sit in the rays in which I’m living
The suns on my face, the suns on my
